Weight training: A new fad or a vital part of your weekly training program?

In this video I discuss with Alex Bignell the latest media obsession with weight training. We talk about a brief recent history of weights training, how sports specific training has caught up and I ask to Alex about his weekly training routines, what he has learnt over decades of strength training, what works and what doesn’t. We also chat about what you can do at home and how to get the best out of the time you have and the kit you have available. Alex’s Story

Here is something you might not know about Alex, his degree was in Elizabethan and Jacobean drama and 19th century fiction as well as modernist poets and a dissertation on Structuralism! but his passion and work is everything from strength training to bodybuilding and from speed training to core strength Alex has and encyclopedic knowledge of everything fitness, he has been a trainer with One Element for 15 years, and runs his PT business alongside.
