Ten of the best from across One Element. As the weather warms and the clocks change, the leaves begin to burst out. It is such a wonderful time of year to be outside.

I’m not great at celebrating birthdays on here,

I’m not great at celebrating birthdays on here, but I’d like to tip the cap to this man today as it’s a big one for him. He has been part of OE for 15 years, from rescuing stolen bikes to lifting massive groups up into different spaces, many of you know him very well and his wonderful playful sense of humour. Still has the speed of a top level athlete and the strength of a bull. Alexos the king of Balham. He always brings a smile to everyone’s face. Be it a story about his recent scoreboarding achievement or how he managed 15 hours in the rain last week. Nobody knows a squat as well as he does. He roams the paddock like the old GOAT 🐐 in all weather keeping it in order. Love you AB. Happy birthday mate.

The heat of the sun on your face, the smell of the freshly cut grass, this maybe motivation enough to get out into the park in these warm spring days, but if I also mentioned that within a week of doing our fitness training you will see measurable changes to your fitness, from increased lung capacity to heart strength, leaner muscles and oxygen rich blood, burning cholesterol, lipids & sugars in the blood. The style of training we do is utterly unique, suits all ages and fitness backgrounds but comes from a top sports fitness style and this is why it works, it is great fun and if you don’t enjoy it, I’ll buy you a coffee. Spring is coming, it may not always feel like it but those days of drinking up sunshine and training hard, completely aware that what you are doing is transforming your fitness and mind. Hope to see you out there over the next few weeks!

Three sessions on Wandsworth common this morning.

Three sessions on Wandsworth common this morning. First a cardio training session. Second a circuits session then a game of touch. This is a different way to get fit… I could tell people that it’s warm and cloudy and perfect or perhaps..I could say I have a great session for you today, in some ways a new session in many ways it pulses with the same grit and effort of previous weeks, playing with discomfort like a toy you can draw closer or push away, gradually mastering it beginning to realise it’s just a thought just a construct a belief that can be changed and with this comes a self belief, an unshackling, a control. As the brain releases it’s staggering chemistry of pain killers and reward that leaves you feeling a genuine sense of achievement, lightness and connectedness, as the brain simultaneously becomes tunnel in vision and colours become more vibrant, as the ancient lizard, shrew and chimp brains become aligned with exercise, fresh air, friendship and effort drawing in millions of years of evolution, those old friends re-kindling their relationship. Either way! It’s fun. Come and play.
