I think we have probably evolved to build trust and lifelong friends when we move together, this is one of the reasons why group exercise is such a great protector for your mental health. We kick off with endurance, it can feel like a challenging space to go into but it’s also where the magic happens, changes to the lungs, blood and muscles that are measurable over just a few days. Next Monday we start our periodised fitness program for January. It is truly transformative, we’ve had 40 seconds knocked off bronco tests, as well as profound changes on every measurable. In this video I explain what periodisation is, where it’s come from and why it works. I dip into what we do at one element. Perhaps one of the most important parts to training is understanding what we are doing and where to put the effort in. Over the next few weeks we will be sharing explanations on power, strength and endurance and why these things change our fitness. Anyway… if you make it to the end of this do feel free to comment.
