It’s 3*C. It’s raining, somewhere between sleet snow and rain. There is very little enticing to get you out today… however within moments of arriving we will be warm, the cold unshackling the potential, numbing the push and the charge, silty mud splashing onto the calves, cloths cool wet and a relief, the rain drenching the hair that euphoric moment after a hard set, on one knee in a puddle of slip clay head tipped forward drops of water peeling down the face, bellows of breath, steam rising from your back, that glow, this moment, clarity of thought, then home & showered, clean warm and clear optimistic head full of potential for the day. Let’s go guys and gals. See you there…. Most of them did!

When we rolled out the first of our twelve week (periodised) programs, I had high hopes members would see outstanding results- but this a way beyond expectations.

@ruarih.grillmore has been a member for over ten years which makes this all the more extraordinary, he was already fit at the start! by committing to two sessions a week, recovering well he has transformed his time. This periodisation works. From power to strength then endurance we transform the body.

How does the One Element periodised model work? Si

How does the One Element periodised model work? Since we launched One Element we have written every session down, almost all of which have been informed by elite athletes and coaches, we have then categorised them into power, strength and endurance, then we run them through a progressive cycle.
1. We do a new session either power, strength or endurance then we go into
2. Alarm phase
Over the next 24-48 hours you will experience stiffness, tiredness and fatigue through your muscles and body. This is known as the ‘Alarm Phase’.
3. Adaption
Over the following 3-5 days, your body will go through ‘Adaptation’, a series of physical changes in your body depending on the session.
4. New Session
We introduce another new session in the cycle to build, enhance and compliment the work we did in the previous sessions.*
5. Change
Focussing on different aspects during our sessions will entrench change in our training and avoids plateau or exhaustion.

*As we progress through this training plan I will explain the changes that are happening in our bodies and minds. Changes that can be seen in less than a week. Do join us for this 12 week transformational program starting on the 3rd June.

On the 3rd June we are launching our 12 week summer fitness program. It’s what is known as periodised fitness training, where we move from one stimulus to the next consistently evolving and improving. This is the bedrock of all professional fitness training because it not only get results but people continue to improve when they are doing this. Over the next few weeks we will be exploring what we are doing in each week long block, how this changes our mind and body, from heart, lungs, blood and muscles to a cellular level.
